Forever grounded in the tower by her mother Gothel (Donna Murphy), Rapunzel (Mandy Moore) spends her everyday life with her chameleon pet Pascal. Accidentally meeting the handsome bandit, Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi), the most wanted criminal in the kingdom, will help Rapunzel pursue her ultimate dream, to get out in the tower and see the floating lanterns in person. As soon as she stepped out of the tower, the fun-spirited teen princess will discover a land where people are really loving and caring and will not take advantage of her hairs' magical healing power.
A hilarious movie with a full twist. It will make you laugh and cry. Unlike the original version of Rapunzel, Tangled which was released by Disney, is a very funny and adventurous movie. You can see how the characters are changed. Rapunzel's 70 feet hair is very magical which turns into brown and loses its power when cut, her love interest is not a prince but the most wanted criminal in the land, she is a princess here not like the original story which she is just a daughter of an ordinary family. There are no witches in the story, only an old lady with the desire to stay young forever. I love how Mandy played with her voice. She sings very well and her voice is very touching. The settings in the story are very creatively designed.
